On 22 February 2009, after a long bout with illness, Mr. Emiliano Rizada, Jr. succumbed and returned to his Creator leaving behind his family, relatives and friends at age 75. True to his being a director (of stage and radio plays), Tio Dodong scripted and directed his passing away and wake rites with utmost care and precision. He did not have a burial rite, really, for he willed that his body be cremated and his ashes be placed beside their home's grotto. And so, on 25 February, Ash Wednesday, he who was formed from dust or ash returned literally to ash. May the Lord look kindly upon him who, though a demanding person, gave his all not only for his craft and family but also and most especially for his community.
