For their recollection for the month of September, the formators found a haven in Manticao, a cute and cozy place of a friend of Fr. Manol... by the beach and with a jacuzzi to wit! Fresh air from the sea abounded, even too much, perhaps, with huge waves banging the whole time against the wall of the house. Nice singing, nice food, nice topic for reflection and sharing, deep sharing facilitated by Ate V. Assisted by the generous and hardworking parishioners of Fr. Ramir Colanse. We could only utter in unison one famous phrase: "PRAISE GOD!"

To celebrate Ate V's gift of life (and affinity with St. Robert Bellarmine), the SJVTS formators were treated to a delicious lunch at the Cafe Laguna! The lineup of courses was hard to beat, from Krispy Pata to Kangkong! We were also blessed with the presence of a future formator, Fr. Rey Raluto, on vacation from Belgium. A great moment to share together for a great friend and companion in the ministry. The bday cake was also unforgettable. HAPPY BDAY, ATE V!

On the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Julius Cesar Anas (Tagum) was ordained deacon along with 4 others and 1 for the priesthood. SJVTS was represented by Fr. Rector, Fr. Joey Rapadas, and Regan. But other Viannistas were also present as the photo shows. "Pusa" or JC will stay with the Bishop for some time before being sent to various parishes for ministry.

SJVTS Intrams 2009

Hoping to become well-rounded priests, the seminarians compete in the annual Intramurals games. This year's theme is: "Viannistas on Fire... Zealous Through the Years." Sports builds character, community, camaraderie, and (c)atawan! Some highlights...

Final Despedida of Norly Back-in-Town

To cast a final glance at where he spent the first 4 years of his priesthood, Fr. Norly came back for the Alumni Homecoming and CDO Fiesta. The SJs found some space in his hectic schedule and treated him to lunch at "Nitivo," a restaurant owned by a friend of Fr. Manol.
Good food, good companionship.

Coffee with Fr. Provincial

After his visitation of the SJs in CDO (XU & SJVTS), Fr. Provincial treated the younger "once" to coffee at Candy's. A night of casual sharing of memories, Jesuit jokes, and pastries. Nobody felt "affected."
